That sofa you replaced three months ago and still haven't gotten rid of. The bedroom set in the spare room. The dining table that's been sitting in the garage.

We haul all of it. One call, same day when available.

Single piece or a full room cleared out, ground floor or a stair carry-out. Per-job pricing means you pay based on what the job actually involves.

Furniture pickups happen all across the metro. The Pearl District and Irvington, where older row houses and condos mean tight stairwells and narrow doorways. Milwaukie, Lake Oswego, and West Linn. We know how to navigate tight stairwells, narrow doorways, and tricky angles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you remove single pieces of furniture or do I need a full truckload?

Single pieces are completely fine. We price per job, so whether it is one sofa or a full bedroom set, you pay based on what the job actually involves. There is no minimum load and no per-item fee. Martin confirms the firm price on-site before any lifting starts, so you always know the cost first.

Can you carry furniture out of basements, attics, or upper floors?

Yes. Stairway carry-outs are routine for us. We bring the right equipment and take the time to handle heavy or awkward pieces safely, whether that means a basement stair-out, a second-floor bedroom, or a narrow attic pull-down. There is no extra stair fee. Multi-story and tight-space pickups are included in the standard on-site quote.

Do you take mattresses and box springs?

Yes. Mattresses and box springs are one of our most common pickups, in all sizes from twin to California king. Many mattress materials can be recycled when the material qualifies, so we route them to certified facilities rather than a landfill. You do not need to move it to the curb or wrap it. We carry it out from wherever it is.

Will you take furniture that is broken or damaged?

Yes. Broken legs, water damage, torn upholstery, mold, or just plain worn out. Condition does not prevent us from taking it. If it fits in the truck, we haul it away. Damaged pieces that cannot be donated go to certified disposal facilities. You do not need to warn us in advance about condition.

What happens to furniture after you remove it?

We assess condition on pickup. Furniture in good shape is donated to local donation centers when possible. Pieces in poor condition go to certified disposal facilities. Metals and recyclable components are separated and recycled where accepted. You do not need to sort or separate anything in advance. We handle routing on our end.

How is furniture removal priced?

Furniture removal is priced per job, based on the items, their weight, and the work. There are no per-item fees and no stair surcharges. Martin gives you a firm on-site quote before we touch anything. If the number does not work for you, there is no obligation. You only pay if you agree to the price.

TESTIMONIALS

FROM OUR CUSTOMERS

★★★★★

"Martin is very professional, super responsive, and efficient. I looked into many local companies and Martin's customer service was well above the rest. He showed up on time, gave me a firm price before touching anything, and had the whole load cleared faster than I expected. This is who you call."

Sarah T. Portland Residential Junk Removal
★★★★★

"Used Martin's to haul out a fridge, dishwasher, and old washer. He handled everything carefully, was upfront about the price before starting, and even mentioned which items could potentially be recycled. Genuinely one of the easiest service calls I have made. Would absolutely hire again."

James K. Lake Oswego Appliance Removal
★★★★★

"Quick, professional, and reasonably priced. Martin went above and beyond to work around my schedule. The garage was stacked floor to ceiling and it was completely cleared in under an hour. The price he quoted on-site was the price I paid. No games."

Linda M. Beaverton Garage Cleanout
★★★★★

"We had a full estate cleanout after my mother passed and Martin handled it with a lot of care and respect. He was patient, communicated clearly, and did not rush us. Everything was handled in one visit. It was a hard day and he made it much easier."

Dana R. Hillsboro Estate Cleanout
★★★★★

"Had a shed and a hot tub that needed to come out. Martin's crew showed up on time and had both demolished and hauled off in about three hours. Fair price, no surprise charges, and they cleaned up after themselves. I will be calling them again for the deck next spring."

Mike S. Milwaukie Light Demolition
★★★★★

"I have used other junk haulers in Portland and Martin's is the only one that felt like dealing with an actual local business owner. He answered the phone himself, showed up when he said he would, and took the time to sort items before loading. A genuinely good experience from start to finish."
